The feed materials in biogas plants have changed dramatically in recent years. Corn silage and grain are becoming less important with the increasing use of substrates that are difficult to break down, such as whole plant silage, straw, and manure. The solution: SensoPower Flex! SensoPower Flex is a biocatalyst that accelerates and improves decomposition – particularly the breakdown of very dry substrates such as manure, whole plant silage, and very dry corn – and in so doing, has an effect on the first step in digestion: hydrolysis.
The result: The improved substrate decomposition and the higher amount of microorganisms allows the biogas plant to adapt quickly to reductions or increases in the feed volume. This makes it easier to operate biogas plants because it the feed composition is much more flexible.
