The use of SensoPower S and SensoPower Flex allowed a 10% reduction in the amount of feed.
The biogas plant in Neufahrn originally had installed capacity of 500 kW. The plant feed included corn silage, pig and chicken manure, and triticale whole plant silage. Before the application of SensoPower, considerably too much feed was used relative to the capacity achieved and, according to the analyses, the microorganisms were inhibited. A series of experts had already investigated the causes but had not found a solution.
The use of SensoPower S and SensoPower Flex significantly improved microorganism activity and substrate decomposition. This had a highly positive effect on the stirrability and the amount of substrate used. It enabled a 25% reduction in the use of corn silage: the amount of slurry remains at 15 m³/day and the amount of whole plant silage decreased from 30 t to 22 t/day.
Now the plant is under flexible operation. Just 1.5 t of corn maize grist, 4 t of whole plant silage, 1 t of chicken manure, 15 m³ pig manure, and around 23 t corn silage are required for a capacity of 700 kW.
The use of SensoPower S and SensoPower Flex allowed a 10% reduction in the amount of feed.
Quicker and better decomposition of substrates that are difficult to digest together with homogeneity in the digester despite substrate modifications made at short notice.
Positive results in the Unsleben biogas plant of Agrokraft Streutal GmbH & Co.KG thanks to SensoPower S.
